I split my time between the mountains and the city because I can’t think of a better mix than the alpine awesome of Mammoth Lakes, and urban fun of Los Angeles. In Mammoth, I enjoy one of the longest ski seasons in the world, pedaling year-round (thanks studded bicycle tires), and keeping my finger on the proverbial pulse of what’s what in the outdoors and action sports worlds.
In LA, I get my fill of culture, food, music, and a steady dose of urban pedaling. And since I live in Highland Park, I'm just minutes from Angeles Crest — one of the best roads to motorcycle in the world — I sneak out for lunch-time turns in the mountains on the regular.
That’s when I'm not driving the 10-year-old to the climbing gym or exploring LA, Mammoth, and beyond with my better half. And, that surname is pronounced Kirch-mar, btw.
